The Best Nontoxic Products I Tested in 2018

Looking back on this past year, I can say 2018 has been one of my favorites: my acne flare ups became a distant memory (thus why the category has been removed this year); pregnancy and the birth of Chloe showed me the joys of motherhood – and the need for clean, efficacious and safe baby products; and while dry/dehydrated skin and perioral dermatitis persisted, I found a rhythm of gentle skincare products to help with both giving me my best skin to-date! Typically, I reserve this best-of list for year end, but it always seems to hit at an inopportune time after…

goop x CB2 Launches Lifestyle Home Line

It’s hard to deny how much I love all things goop. The sophisticated wellness content, and beautifully curated online store just get me and my southern California ways. So, when I heard that goop was partnering with CB2 to launch limited edition home furnishings, I was ecstatic! Each item feels like a piece out of the Royal Tenenbaum movie with a feminine twist. There’s whimsy in the  dinnerware collection patterns and luxe feminine fabrics, like the pink velvet sofa. It’s hard not to covet everything. I’m crushing hard on each piece. At least it is for me, and I’ve dealt with various challenges on this breastfeeding roller coaster: oversupply, engorgement, leakage, plugged ducts, blebs, and those early days of cracked, bruised nipples (shudders). Yes, all of this sounds challenging, but none of it compares to the frustration and heartache that comes with low-supply. You want to nourish your baby, your baby is hungry and fussy, and yet your body just isn’t producing enough milk for whatever reason to satisfy your baby’s needs. It’s heart-wrenching.…

Bovine Colostrum Face Cream – Great For Sensitive, Dry Skin

New and exciting skincare ingredients are what I live for! They breathe life into my beauty blogger existence when I’m near comatose from being sent yet another face oil. So you can imagine my excitement when new organic skincare line, Gaelle Organic, popped into my inbox and I discovered after reviewing their ingredient deck that two of their products contain bovine colostrum (aka cow colostrum); an ingredient I’ve never seen in skincare before. I tested out the Gaelle Organic Ultra Sensitive Creme which contains bovine colostrum, but before I get into my full review, read on for more about what colostrum is…
