Organic Baby Skin Care Must-Haves

(Above – our three month old baby, Chloe! *Tear…it’s going so fast.) As a first-time parent, getting ready for all of your new baby’s needs is overwhelming. There’s so much to think about, so much to buy, so much to prepare for. I thought I had everything down (which I explain in my post “Your Ultimate Newborn & Registry Guide 2018”) but funny enough, the one area I ended up not being prepared for and having to figure out as I went along was organic baby skin care. Before we had our baby, I didn’t realize how important and frequent…

Biologique Recherche P50W Toner Review

Biologique Recherche P50W Best for: Gentle exfoliation, refining pores, smoothing texture and subtle brightening Skin type: Sensitive Review: While the Biologique Recherche P50W is the gentlest of the Biologique Recherche P50 toners, as someone with sensitive skin, I still found the toner to be a tad strong for every day use as directed. But most importantly, she’s become a…

At-home lash extensions have arrived! Just the sound of that – “at-home” paired with “lash extensions” – gives me happy chills. I love lash extensions, but the pain of having them professionally applied and touched up every 2-4 weeks is painstaking. Who has time to drive to the spa, lay there for an hour for touch-ups (or two for a full application) and then pay through the roof?! I certainly don’t, which is why I could never stick to getting them done consistently. So when I saw Lashify’s at-home eye lash extension kit, my eyes bulged out of my sockets…

What Postpartum Confinement Is Really Like

There I am above at nine months pregnant waiting anxiously for our baby girl to arrive, and below is me just four weeks later holding her in my arms!  My month of postpartum confinement ended yesterday (Woohoo! Hello, outside world and spicy food!), and I’m so excited to share my experience here on the blog! Check out my previous post, “I Plan On Following The Chinese Practice of Confinement Postpartum,” if you haven’t already, to get up to speed on zuò yuè zi and the full explanation of this practice. Below I recap my month of confinement: foods I ate, Chinese…
