Detox Market’s newly launched monthly subscription box is a MUST for 2018 if your goal is to cut back on beauty spending (I know that’s one of mine…). You’ll receive each month, for as low as $39.95 per month, the clean beauty retailer’s best selling products for more than 50% off!? The January box they sent me to review had a retail value of $95 and it contained two products I have become absolutely smitten for – a full size Tammy Fender Epi-Peel and a travel size of the Tammy Fender Rose Toner.

Starting in January, Detox’s monthly boxes are going to be available to USA and Canadian beauty lovers. Read here for more details on the Detox Market monthly box.

And see below for my review of the products you’ll receive in the January box!

Product: Tammy Fender Epi-Peel

Best for: Getting rid of small keratin and sebum plugs

Why you’ll love it: I was very nervous about testing this product. I have extremely sensitive, reactive skin and the description “micro-exfoliating mask and peel” sounded intense. But my skin LOVES this product. The tapioca starch has very, very fine microscopic granules that feel a tad like fine sand as you massage the product into your skin. The product is highly effective at sweeping away dead skin cells, smoothing texture and brightening without any irritation! I really was blown away when I washed the mask off after 2-3 minutes that my skin appeared bright and clear. There was absolutely no redness or irritation.

This mask also contains a blend of hydrating balms like shea butter and beeswax that keep the skin hydrated, while the gentle kaolin clay pulls impurities. And the blend of antiseptic and antimicrobial essential oils (lavender, rosemary, spearmint), make it great for those dealing with congested pores.

After the first use, I am hooked and can say this will be a mainstay in my routine from here on out. Fantastic product!

Tip: Massage on slightly damp skin to allow for better exfoliation. I found when applied on bone dry skin, the product pulled on the skin and I ended up using too much product.

Scent: Very subtle and refreshing herbal scent from the rosemary, peppermint and lavender

Product: Tammy Fender Bulgarian Rose Toner

Best for: Soothing and hydrating dry, sensitive, red and inflamed skin

Why you’ll love it: Rose is one of my favorite ingredients! The high mucilage content of the rose plant (the stuff the plant secretes to moisturize itself), makes it extremely hydrating for the skin. But while it’s hydrating, it also has gentle astringent and antibacterial properties making it a great ingredient for those dealing with dry skin and small breakouts.

When I look at mists and toners, the first thing I do is see if water is listed as an ingredient. Often times, it’s listed as the first ingredient, which is a huge red flag to me. I like to see, like in this toner from Tammy Fender, the liquid base be something other than plain water, like rose water or aloe water. Because water can be drying to the skin. I know this sounds counterintuitive, but misting ones face with plain water can actually dry the skin out.

I love that this toner uses rose water as the base and then adds in rose oil for an added boost of antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and hydrating properties.

If you have dermatitis, acne or dry, scaly skin, I highly recommend you incorporate a rose water mist into your routine. It will change your skin!

Tip: Saturate a cotton pad with this toner and use in the mornings as a gentle cleanser and toner combo.

Scent: Beautiful rose scent
