For all of my fellow beauty bloggers out there who are constantly trying products (and irritating their skin in the process), or anyone who suffers from inflammatory skin issues, ahem – acne flareups from trying new products, redness from over exfoliating, and/or dry scaly bumps – I highly recommend you pick up the Lotus Moon Cherry Blossom Healing Soothe.
I was first introduced to this product by facialist extraordinaire, Adina Diaz, during a facial last week at her West Los Angeles spa, Natural Feeling Spa, which was one of THE BEST facials I’ve had all year (more on that later).
One main ingredient in this balm is Willowherb Extract. A powerful anti-inflammatory herbal remedy that reduces redness, inflammation (and inflammation breakouts, as I’ve experienced first hand), rosacea and contact dermatitis.
Some studies have also shown Willowherb works better than 1% Hydrocortisone. (I try to avoid Hydrocortisone since the steroid cream can thin the skin if used over long periods of time.)
The texture of the Lotus Moon healing soothe is a thick paste and a little goes a long way. I use half of a pea size amount, warm it between my fingers and then press on my face as a last step morning and night.
It really seals in all of my serums and doesn’t clog my pores. It has improved my skin’s ability to hold onto moisture and reduced the redness around my nostrils. It also helped heal a few acne lesions.
LOVE this balm.
