Last Friday, my partner-in-crime and fellow beauty lover, Chrissy, and I ventured to Venice for a tasting at the hip juice bar Moon Juice. If you haven’t been, it’s a MUST while in LA. I especially recommend venturing to their Venice location which feels more intimate than the others. There you’ll find tonics, milks, elixirs, juices, fermented snacks and adaptogen powders all created by Amanda Bacon with Traditional Chinese Medicine and Ayurvedic principles in mind.
The wellness brand currently has twenty juices/elixirs/milks available with rotating seasonal additions. While the juices seem on par with other juiceries, like Pressed Juicery, their milks and tonics, in my mind, is what really makes Moon Juice special.
The lovely, Nicolette (pictured above), was our flavor guide and led us on a flavor journey through all of the Moon Juice drinks. She moved from light tonics to heavier milks.
While they are all delicious in their own right, here are the standouts I HIGHLY recommend you try on your next Moon Juice visit. Oh, and pick up the Rainbow Juice & Seed Crisp and the Green Fermented Seed Crisps while you’re at it.
On a hot LA day this tonic is SO refreshing, and it’ll keep you hydrated in-between sips of rosé.

Lait de Coco
The simplicity of this milk is perhaps what makes it so vibrant. There’s a hint of natural sweetness with just the right amount of richness that doesn’t feel too heavy.
Ingredients: Alkaline + mineralized + oxygenated water and coconut
Benefits: Actives the brain, supports the thyroid and nourishes the skin
This milk is a healthy remake of my favorite Indian yogurt smoothie minus all of the processed sugar. It’s rich, bright, sweet and refreshing.
Ingredients: Alkaline + mineralized + oxygenated water, mango, coconut, coconut nectar, lime, tocotrienols, probiotics, pink salt
Benefits: Probiotic beauty shake and digestive aid
While I love all of the above, this one may be my ultimate favorite. If you’re a fan of turmeric, like I am, opt for this one next time you drop by MJ. Bright, refreshing, yet wholesome and spicy! And it’s good mixed with the Lait de Coco!
Ingredients: Alkaline + mineralized + oxygenated water, activated almonds, turmeric juice, coconut nectar, cinnamon, ashwagandha, cardamom, black pepper oil, pink salt.
Benefits: Adaptogenic comfort milk, anti-inflammatory
