Today’s lesson learned: give people, life and beauty products second chances.

The first time I tried Dr. Perricone’s Cocoa Moisture Mask my first thought was, meh. I slathered it on heavy handedly, massaged in quickly, rinsed after ten minutes as instructed and didn’t notice much. Eh, onto the next! In the beauty world we now reside, there are so many emerging products and brands if something doesn’t work it’s tossed without a second thought. There are too many products to get through! But I’m really glad I gave the Perricone Cocoa Moisture Mask another go because last Sunday I had the most amazing experience with it! I slathered on a quarter size (or more) amount, massaged it in, let it sit for ten minutes, AND THEN massaged it in again. When I massaged it in the second time around it became increasingly thick and brown. I could feel a creamy moisture layer envelop my skin. I let it sit like that for another ten minutes and by the time I washed it off my skin looked bright, firm and moist! It’s now Wednesday and I’ve used this Cocoa Moisture Mask every night since Sunday. My skin looks and feels better after each use. So, lesson learned ladies and gentlemen, sometimes second chances are in order.

Perricone MD Cocoa Moisture Mask

Skin type: Normal, Dry or scaly AF (poor girl, hope that’s not you because it’s certainly me…)

Texture: Like whipped frosting with sprinkles mixed in

Great for: Soothing and hydrating

Not so great for: My white towels

Why I love it: I’m all about moisture masks, but most sheet masks aren’t as rich as this Cocoa Moisture Mask. It will feel like you’re massaging into your skin a decadent chocolate cake. And your skin will look firmer, brighter and feel moisturized after each use.
