I spent the morning with the beauty brand, Sisley Paris, at the insanely chic Beverly Hills Hotel. Products were tested, mini-facial was had, pastries were not eaten (though, it was so tough to say no!) and much was learned about this gorgeous, Parisian luxury skin care brand. Here are the top five things I learned:
1. Sisley’s Black Rose Cream Mask is the #1 Mask In France
Sisley’s Black Rose Cream Mask is the number one best selling mask in France! Now, that’s an impressive title to hold and after trying it at the event today I can say it’s a title well deserved. The texture initially feels rich, but breaks down into a gel-like water as you massage it in, while powerful anti-aging plant botanicals, like geranium, black rose and Padina Pavonica (a unique Mediterranean algae) stimulate collagen production. Nutrients Vitamin E and Vitamin B5 are the cherry on top soothing and protecting skin. If it weren’t $162, I’m pretty sure I’d be bathing in it.

2. No Fragrances
I was shocked to find out that the entire Sisley Paris skincare line is fragrance-free. The products smell heavenly, so I always just assumed they contained added fragrance, but it turns out the scent comes from essential oils and plant botanicals. Win! This is definitely something to rejoice in since most added fragrances have been found to cause skin irritation (European Commission).
3. Drool-worthy Makeup
Skincare comes to mind first when you think Sisley-Paris, but pardon my French (H&*%$ S*&^) their makeup is beyond. We’re talking highly pigmented silky eyeshadows; cheek blush sticks that go from cream to feather-light powder and never drag on the skin – I hate that; and eye kohl crayons amateurs and makeup-pros can equally use and LOVE. I’ve got my eye on the Phyto-Eye Twist in Havana and the stunning L’orchidee Highlighting Blush that just screams JLo glow, and am still obsessing over the Phyto-Blush Twist in Petal that came in my gift bag! If you’re tired of the gimmicky trend makeup all over the gram these days (*raises hand*), you’ll be delighted with the sophisticated, high-quality makeup Sisley has to offer.
4. Family Owned
There’s something that feels extra special about a family owned and run brand, which is why I was delightfully surprised to learn that Sisley is a part of this ilk. The d’Ornano family have owned and operated Sisley Paris for three generations since 1976, and been able to expand it to five continents and more than 90 countries, which is a testament to their high quality.
5. And a new launch is coming…
Drumroll please… And finally, the last thing I learned today that is very exciting is the brand is launching a Black Rose Cream to pair with it’s wildly successful Black Rose Cream Mask and Black Rose Precious Face Oil! I tested this cream at the event and it’s just about what you would expect: rich, heavenly scented, plumping, soothing and oh, so decadent. The Sisley facialist applied it at the end of my treatment and my skin glowed sans facial. A proper review will be coming soon.
