Looking back on this past year, I can say 2018 has been one of my favorites: my acne flare ups became a distant memory (thus why the category has been removed this year); pregnancy and the birth of Chloe showed me the joys of motherhood – and the need for clean, efficacious and safe baby products; and while dry/dehydrated skin and perioral dermatitis persisted, I found a rhythm of gentle skincare products to help with both giving me my best skin to-date! Typically, I reserve this best-of list for year end, but it always seems to hit at an inopportune time after…

Yesterday at a beauty blogger event, one of my girlfriends turned to me and said, “Wow, your skin looks so good. Your PD (perioral dermatitis) is completely gone!” I couldn’t help but smile. There are moments in a beauty blogger’s life when you get the opportunity to test products that you otherwise would never be able to and all you can feel is gratitude. The topical face and lip filler products are made up of…

I found out two weeks ago that I have been living with low-grade to mild perioral dermatitis. What always appeared to just be nostril and chin redness (perhaps, due to years of sun damage or smoking I wrongly presumed) was in fact the dreaded PD. Thankfully, as fate would have it I met up with my aesthetician girlfriend for hot yoga one morning. As we were walking out of the ninety-eight degree torture chamber (I only go to these types of things at the behest of friends), I could feel the skin around my face begin to itch. It felt tight, inflamed and…
